Billy J. Kramer is an English pop singer who was popular in the 1960s. Born William Howard Ashton in Bootle, Liverpool, England on August 19, 1943, he found success as the frontman of the band Billy J. Kramer and the Dakotas.
Kramer and the Dakotas had several hits in the UK and the US, including "Do You Want to Know a Secret", "Bad to Me", and "Little Children". They were managed by Brian Epstein, who also managed The Beatles.
After the breakup of the band in the late 1960s, Kramer continued to perform as a solo artist. He has released several solo albums and continues to tour and perform live.
